At Bawtry Mayflower, we are very proud to have achieved our Bronze Eco Award. The Eco-Committee consists of two children from every class and the group meets at least once every term. To achieve our bronze award, we had to meet certain criteria which included:
completing an Environmental Review covering the Eco-Schools nine topics and discussing the results of the review
producing a basic Action Plan influenced by the Environmental Review and sharing this plan with the rest of the school community
identifying progress towards achieving elements of the Action Plan
making sure environmental issues were covered within curriculum work
having a prominent, designated notice board, detailing Eco-Schools activities
We are now working towards our silver award.
